You might be wondering if you should tell your boss you have a chronic condition. Here are some things to consider:
- Your workplace may be able to make adjustments to support you and make plans for times that you are absent.
- Your boss might be able to help you with finding any benefits you can access or additional leave entitlements.
- You may need to organise flexible working arrangements or take time off for appointments and so if they know it may be easier to negotiate.
- If the condition impacts your job you will need to tell them and it will also reduce the risk that any impacts on your work will be seen as poor performance.
